Apply for the Student Ambassador Scheme
The Student Ambassador Scheme recruits current students to support a wide range of events and activities organised by the Schools and Colleges Liaison Service (SCLS) including Open Days, HE Experience Days, University Visit Days, Subject Specific Taster Days, and visits to schools and colleges. Student Ambassadors act as role models and motivators to encourage school and college students to consider higher education. Ambassadors can share their own unique experiences including challenges and barriers they may have faced and overcome as well as successes and achievements.
The different roles
- The Traditional Student Ambassador: this role supports a wide range of events and activities organised by the Schools and Colleges Liaison team (SCLS) including Open Days, HE Experience Days, University Visit Days, Subject Specific Taster Days, and visits to schools and colleges. Most jobs will take place during school hours on weekdays (9am-3pm).
- Content Creator Student Ambassador: These students will produce content for the University's social media channels such as Instagram Stories, photographs, graphics, blogs, vlogs or student takeovers. This is another way of communicating with potential students and a chance to show off your creativity.
You can apply to one or both of the above roles, and they are open to all undergraduate, postgraduate and international students.
