Primary and Early Years
How are interviews taking place this year?
Our interviews will take place online over video call. The date, time and instructions for accessing the interview will be included in your interview invitation.
What will happen on the day?
The interview will take place via Teams with a small group of applicants. It will begin with a presentation by a course tutor. You will then be given a couple of scenarios to consider how you would manage workload and time and be asked why you want to study the course. There will be time for you to ask questions at the end of the interview. We want to get to know you and consider whether this course is right one for you.
What are we looking for?
Good personal skills, time management and organisation and knowledge appropriate to the course. We would like you to demonstrate awareness of the primary teaching sector.
What happens after the interview?
Your UCAS Track will be updated with the outcome of your interview as soon as we’ve made a decision. If you are offered a place and accept this, we will send further information about things that need to be completed before you start your course.
If you have any questions about interviews, please contact sepd@hud.ac.uk.

If you are made an offer an Occupational Health questionnaire will be sent to you so that we can confirm that you are able to undertake the course.
