Computing and Library Services
Throughout your time at the University, Computing and Library Services will make sure you have access to all the resources you need to take your degree to the next level.
We provide high quality and customer-focused services, having held the Government Customer Service Excellence ® standard for many years. Our National Student Survey results show a high level of satisfaction with the library and computing facilities at the University.
IT Support provides and maintains access to the University’s computing, Wi-Fi and printing facilities, and online resources such as the University's virtual learning environment, student email, electronic library resources and more.
IT support is available through the Help Centre, based in the Library, and via a 24-hour telephone helpline.
Training on using various software, hardware and assistive technology is also available for all students, through workshops or one-to-one support.
The Library has a wide range of books, ebooks, online resources and more to support your studies. The Library also loans out laptops, and AV equipment such as cameras.
Open 24-hours a day through term-time, and with many resources available to access online from wherever you are, the Library is always there to support your learning.
Help is available during normal working hours at our Help Centre, online, and through a 24-hour helpline.
Heritage Quay is the official archive for the University of Huddersfield, acting as the guardian of the archives of other organisations, families and individuals dating back over 200 years.
