IPOS Consultancy/Training
IPOS
The complexities associated with optimising and scaling-up laboratory processes is something not generally taught in universities, as such graduates entering employment often have little experience of the requirements of industrial process development.
IPOS offers several training courses in the science of chemical process development designed to provide process development chemists with essential tools and know-how required for efficient process understanding and optimisation.
A.) A two-day course entitled ‘The Science of Chemical Process Development.’ To view the course synopsis, and to book, download 2-day course synopsis and booking form

B.) “Hands-on” Training in Laboratory Techniques for Physicochemical Measurements.
IPOS also offers a hands-on course delivered using the university’s facilities and can be tailored to the customer needs, from one to several days duration.
These include both paper evaluation of data requirements and practical application to real customer problems. Facilities available include thermal analysis, measurement of pKa, distribution coefficients and solubilities, evaluation of mixing effects, reaction kinetics including fast reactions and measurements in two-phase systems.
C.) Consultancy
Professors Mike Page and John Atherton have extensive experience in consultancy in process research and development within the fine chemicals, agrochemical and pharmaceutical sector. This experience is available via IPOS.
