The ability to efficiently optimise laboratory chemical processes for scale-up to plant manufacture is essential for any company in the current economic climate.

The IPOS team consists of highly skilled, industrially experienced chemists with particular expertise in the application of physical organic chemistry towards industrial chemical process development.

This expertise is offered on a contract basis giving companies the feasibility to use this resource as and when required without the cost of employing full-time staff.

Examples of projects we have successfully completed are:

• Optimisation of a multi-tonne manufacture of a fungicide.
• Assessment of the flexibility of converting the manufacture of a polymer from a batch to a continuous process, including laboratory trials.
• Development and optimisation of a bromination in the absence of molecular bromine.
